This book, <i>Itan Edagbon Mwen</i> "A History of My Life", is an autobiography written in Edo by Chief Jacob Uwadiae Egharevba, M.B.E., <small>Hon. D.Litt.</small> the Obakhavbaye of Benin. Chief Egharevba is a foremost Benin historian who has dedicated himself since 1917, after his primary education, almost single-handedly to the documentary preservation of Edo history and culture.
