Bedřich Machulka (1875-1954) was a traveler, photographer, collector and trader of natural products, and also the head of hunting expeditions. He recorded his journeys and organized safaris in diaries, which rank among the important and still underestimated historical sources that contribute to the dissemination of researchers' knowledge of non-European cultures.
