Goodbye, America!

At the age of eighty-nine, Anna tells her story of her life to her two great-granddaughters during the family's Thanksgiving reunion. She details her personal history, including her departure from Ohio after the death of her father in the flu epidemic of 1918, the family's travel to Czechoslovakia, her mother's decision to leave she and her sister and brother with her family in Czechoslovakia (in the village of Pohorelá), and her return to the United States five years later.
