About This Book
[Authors Web Site][1]
This book was the direct result of letters and emails from former service personnel both British and American forces in WWII, about their tumultuous lives in the war-torn skies over Europe. These RAF/USAF forces also provided many of the photographs used in its publication. And the lives of many local people were dramatically changed too. Eight other nearby airfields are mentioned, namely Alconbury, Deenethorpe, Glatton, Grafton Underwood, King's Cliffe, Molesworth, Spanhoe and Wittering.
