Hopedale Community collection, 1821-1938

A collection of materials related to the Hopedale Community of Mendon, Massachusetts. The collection contains manuscript materials (minutes of the Hopedale Community, minutes of the meetings of the Hopedale Inductive Communion, proceedings of the trustees and executive council of Fraternal Community No. 1, financial records, the Inductive Harbinger, Adin Ballou's funeral and marriage registers, an 1854 map of Hopedale, photographs), 9 serials (including the complete Practical Christian, 1840-1860, Radical Spiritualist, Spiritual Reformer, The Progressive Age, the Modern Age, The Independent Messenger, The Non-Resistant), printed matter 1823-1938 (books, pamphlets, tracts, broadsides, including 40 works by Ballou).
