Martin Block and WNEW

A description of the development of early commercial radio and the eventual development of the use of recorded music as a staple of non network independent radio stations. This development is exemplified by WNEW radio in New York and Martin Block, an announcer and the developer of "The Make Believe Ballroom" a recorded music program which ran for twenty years on the station.
