Tune

Sally has a new partner, Vernon, who is trying to establish his authority in the house. Unfortunately, this means edging out Robert, Sally's son. He accuses Robert of vandalising first his car, then the conservatory he bought for Sally, turning mother against son until Robert is no longer able to stay. The surprising ending of this play about adolescence shows Bond in optimistic mode, suggesting the possibility of peace within a community if not within a family. 'Tune' was first staged by Big Brum at Pegasus Infant and Junior School, Birmingham, in February 2007.
