"Tears Are For The Living" by Margaret Sandford Banister is an interesting and highly enjoyable story spaning a hundred-year period in life of a Southern woman during the post Civil War era. It has often been compared with "Gone With The Wind". June 29th each year is celebrated as MARGARET SANDFORD BANISTER MEMORIAL DAY in the author's hometown of Lynchburg, VA.
