To celebrate the bicentennial of the United States, Billie and Robert offer this glimpse into history of various families. Descended from the Rowland and Whitmire families, they present to the reader a picture of life in the old Ninety-Six District of South Carolina later to be known as the Newberry District.

Many of the South and North Carolina ancestors first settled in Kentucky before moving to Missouri and points beyond. The Owens’ presents an extensive look into these families.
