About This Book

Dear sir,
I just read this book. It's a kind of synthesis of the history of Baixo Guandu city. Milagres Ferreria uses some oral and informal data and also some historical documents. The first white inhabitants of this city were the writer's grand father's family. Of course, before of the befining of the 'colonization' in this region lived some indians and now there are no a sign of them. It's a nice booklet that brings also some information about the day-by-day funny activities and happenings of some people (flagrantes...). Baixo Guandu is the name of one of the political subdivisions of the Espirito Santo, a Brazilian State and it's at the very border of a huge river, the rio Doce (Sweet River). José Luiz Cazarotto
