<div>Paperback booklet held together a 9 piece red plastic spiral binding directly in the center of the covers/pages. There is a 1.5" space at the top and the bottom of the spiral binding. The front cover is mostly red with white and blue accents. The back cover is a full page advertisement for the Columbia River Packers Association, Inc. Inside are many advertisements for businesses and services in Astoria, Oregon, as well as lists of the young men and women serving their country, and the mothers who support them. There are many pages of advice and suggestions on things like: "How to Address Correspondence to War Prisoners or Civilian Internees," or "Flag Etiquette," or "Conservation of Foods." Overall excellent condition. 101 pages. Size: 5" x 8"</div><div><br /></div><div>*Probably a project that was part of the Works Progress Administration created by Franklin D. Roosevelt as part of the New Deal during the Great Depression. This booklet was more than likely written en masse by the Federal Writers' Project and distributed as "The Victory Handbook Series." <br /></div>
