Please Don't Call Me a Lesbian

Gale uses images and type to explore how labels, such as "lesbian," have become synonymous with a person's beliefs and used as a stereotype to people who identify with a certain label. "I'm a boy," writes Gale as he explores his relationship to the labels: "lesbian feminist butch leather dyke transfendered fag boy…" Gale also details his exploration of finding the balance of the masculine and feminine parts of themselves and finding happiness in the term "queer."
