Sutro's glass palace

The story of a vanished but enduring piece of San Francisco history, illustrated with historic photographs and new artwork. Opened in 1894, the Baths contained seven swimming pools, a museum, restaurants, tropical plants, promenades, and seating for thousands; it burned in 1966. The site still attracts visitors who come to explore its concrete ruins and mysterious tunnels.--
