About This Book
Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) is a technique for imaging the interior of a human body by estimating the electrical impedance of the tissues from electrical measurements made at a set of electrodes placed on the skin surface. The impedance distribution corresponds to the tissue distribution because different tissues have different impedance.
In this thesis fundamental principle and review of EIT is given. The object to be imaged consists of a bounded region with conductivity distribution. Laplace equation of conductivity distribution and electrical potential in the region is derived.
To solve this inverse problem the solution is approximated iteratively using Gauss-Newton method.
