About This Book

It is a book which explains the phenomenon of propagation of electromagnetic waves and radiation, with the necessary mathematical formalism without leaving the explanation of physical phenomena.
The first part covers an introduction to vector calculus, then analyzed the electrostatic fields and magnetostatic, to address the Maxwell equations from the modification of Ampere's Law by introducing the displacement currents.
The second part begins by describing the transmission lines both real and ideal, taking into account the constants distribuited in line and analyzing the voltage and current waves, reflection coefficient, SWR and Smith chart. Then we study resonant cavity and then continue with other waveguides such as optical fibers.
The third part deals entirely the phenomenon of radiation, which is the subject of antennas.
