The history and genealogy of the Ocherklevych (Oczerklewicz) family from the village of Velykyi Lubin in the Lviv region in the second half of the eighteenth century - until 1945.

“Ocherkevychi — History of a Family” is a historical and genealogical study dedicated to the Ocherkevych family from the village of Velykyi Lyubin in the Lviv region. The work covers the period from the second half of the 18th century to the middle of the 20th century and is based exclusively on authentic archival sources: metric books, marriage and death records, cadastres, and population censuses. The author reconstructs in detail more than six generations of the family, starting with Anton Ocherklevich (born around 1761), analyzing the social, economic, and cultural context of their lives.

Of particular value are the numerous facsimiles of archival documents, topographical references, statistics on infant mortality, descriptions of the living conditions of peasants, marriages, and family branches. In addition, the study provides a microhistorical overview of the era against the backdrop of changes in the administrative system, the influence of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the Polish interwar period.
