Department of Purchase in-service training course held at the College of the City of New York

Volume includes transcripts of ten lectures by different speakers. Some transcripts include questions-and-answers after the lecture. Following lecture no. 10 are papers submitted as part of the course, and selected by the Bureau of Training of the Municipal Civil Service Commission as being most representative of the papers submitted. During the course, enrolled members of the Dept. of Purchasing visited a plant manufacturing boilers, lead pencils or soap. The authors visited John Trageser Steam Copper Works (Maspeth section of the Borough of Queens), Eagle Pencil Co. (East 13th St., New York City), and the ABC Soap Company (New York City).
