Hester Fuddrucker is a misanthropic drifter enlisted by a magazine to write a "life on the street" diary. Together with his sole companion, a hideously overweight cat, Fuddrucker embarks upon a moving, violent and very funny journey to self-discovery. This hilarious black comedy takes the reader on a rollicking and often scatological ride straight into one man's hell. Muck is a gothic tale of rage, rape, and unrequited love that has no equal in any literary canon.
