The Evolution of Human Atherosclerotic Lesions

The images in this volume illustrate the development of atherosclerosis in human arteries from the initiation of the lesions in youth to later ages when the lesions may produce symptoms. The images are exceptional in the amount of detail that they provide as they have been obtained from NIH-supported studies that used state of the art technology.
