Lets Talk About Media Literacy

This compilation zine by Barnard College students introduces a proposed discussion and teaching group, curriculum, and zine around topics of media literacy for Barnard and Columbia students to discuss their personal relationships with media. The zine addresses the political nature of media literacy and education, as well as the necessity of intersectionality in media studies. The typed and collaged zine includes quotes from Paulo Freire, Lesley Johnson, and David Buckingham.
