Women in an insecure world

Women in an Insecure World is an extensive resource of good practices to prevent and respond to violence against women, at local and international levels. It draws on the success of women's groups, and the progress made through the framework of international human rights law. The three key strategies in eradicating violence against women are prevention, protection and empowerment. Each approach must involve women and men, civil society and government, and has local, national and international dimensions.
