New pay systems are being introduced for the SCS and the armed forces from April 2002 which aim to provide a stronger link between performance and reward, whilst a fundamental review of judicial salaries has now been completed.
Recommendations include:
1) an uprating by 2.5 per cent for SCS staff, with a range of individual performance awards upto 10 per cent;
2) an uprating of 2.5 per cent for senior military officers; and
3) the retention of the existing pay system of salary groups for the judiciary, with a pay increase of 5.4 per cent to take account of specific factors and an further annual uprating of 2.5 per cent
