Doury Road Estate

I wrote this book. Doury road was a housing estate with problems in terms of empty houses, turnover of tenants, lack of amneities and vandalism. The book describes an intervention by the Housing Executive to rehabilitate the estate physically, in terms of expenditure on the environment and rehabilitation of the housing stock, working closely with the local tenants association. The book trces statisitcs to show that hte intervention worked in terms of a subsequnet dropo int he number of empty houses and a reduction in the numbero f tenants wishign to move out. dalcorn1@ntlworld.com
