About This Book

David Mallin, presented with a case involving amnesia, is naturally wary. But Karen Dale pleads: "Find out what I did on Tuesday." That she is an actress, at present working on a TV film, offers added refinements. It might be a publicity stunt. Or, judging by the violent opposition to David's efforts, the amnesia could be hiding something best left uncovered.

The trail leads in two directions, north to an innocent day in Coventry, south to murder.

It leads even further, he discovers, to an episode in Australia five years before. Because there, and then, occurred another amnesia spell and another death, and the two deaths are strangely entwined.

In pursuing the truth, David uncovers too much, perhaps, until he is caught in the web and drawn inevitably to the final tragedy.
