A View From The Mountain

Jack Kestner was a talented newspaper columnist who wrote a weekly piece for the Bristol Herald Courier, Bristol, TN-VA, about his mountain heritage, his return from city life to raise his children on Clinch Mountain and his love of nature. Jack's efforts to protect the Great Channels on the Clinch resulted in the state of Virginia acquiring the property above his and creating a state forest to ward off development.
