Economic benefits and costs of irrigation in the Eastern irrigation district of Alberta

The Eastern Irrigation District is one of the largest and oldest irrigation developments in Alberta and its major structures need repair or replacement. this study undertakes a Benefit/Cost examination of the possible alternatives for the system. the study indicates that the additional investment in the project is justified on the basis of the direct benefits and cost comparisons. it also examines the alternative methods of allocating the project costs.
