Two centuries of domestic architecture in North America are illustrated in complete floor plans, elevations, perspectives and details drawn from a wide variety of contemporary sources...builders' manuals and handbooks, popular magazines of the 19th and early 20th centuries, and building and trade journals. Thirteen different styles are outlined in historical sketches and in 150 line drawings and photographs.
