Nevil Story Maskelyne

Biography of subject of the title, 1823 - 1911. He was a mineralogist, working first at Oxford University and subsequently as Keeper of Minerals at the British Museum. Nevil Story Maskelyne was also an amateur astronomer, and a pioneering photographer, who first took up the art in 1845, under the tutelage of its inventor, William Henry Fox Talbot.
