Contains travel literature, memoirs, reference works, scholarly studies, and published documents. All works are translated into Western languages. Materials hail from the regions of Morocco and Islamic Spain to Afghanistan, the Balkans and Turkey to Sudan, and the Sahara. The collection is made more valuable by the inclusion of a large number of books illustrated with photographs, engravings, maps and other visually descriptive materials.
