Hostage negotiations

It is the desire of this Committee to examine the capability of law enforcement agencies, both large and small, throughout the State to respond to some of the newly developing law enforcement problems and to determine if officers and agencies are being adequately trained to deal with these matters. Specifically, we will examine the capability of law enforcement personnel to respond to instances involving hostage negotiations.
