The challenge of kabuki

Canadian Academy is a school in Kobe, Japan mostly for children of people from other countries who are living in Japan. In the 1970's, the author led the older students in her Japanese language classes to give public performances of scenes from Kabuki plays. The book recounts several years of this unique experience.
