Estas fotografías son testimonio de unas manifestaciones culturales vivas que también están sañalando la concepción imaginaria de los vencidos : los que derrotó la conquista, no liberó la Independencia ni remidió la Revolución, ni incorporó el desarrollo y la techología, los que no hand adquirido un lugar diferente en la vacilante democracia recién inaugurada y cuya desolación estas fotos no buscan ocultar. A pesar de la conciencia crítica que lleva al fotógrafo a insistir en un ciertro sentido del humor, la constante es una lectura escéptica cuando no estoicamente fatalista--La insistente melancolía del arquetipo / Eduardo Vázquez Martín.

"These photographs are a testimony of the living cultural manifestation that also highlight the imaginary thinking of the underdogs: those defeated by the conquest were not freed by the War of Independence, nor redeemed by the revolution, nor were they included in development and technology, those who have not achieved any other place in the recently inaugurated, vacillating democracy, and whose desolation these photographs do not attempt to hide.
