About This Book

The book dedicated to the firm Andrade Morettin Arquitetos (Vinicius Hernandes de Andrade (b. Sao Paulo 1968) & Marcelo H. Morettin (b. Sao Paulo 1969)) expounds the reasoning behind the projects created over almost 20 years of work, so that readers can build a critical idea based on the work of the firm or even on contemporary architecture in general. "We seek to contribute to the enrichment of the architectural culture in addition to that of the ghettos specialized context", explains Marcelo Morettin, marked by many experiments, trials, mistakes and successes, until we could found the architecture that we want to propose: "This is relatively new to us, we always put the research above the desire to establish a brand. When we realized that we had finally made something consistent, we thought it was time to share." The book is divided into five books. The first brings critical texts and a statement of the principles of the architects, starting from a conception of architecture adapted to the tropics. The other four books focus on specific projects.
