"This study focuses on analyzing the characters in the medieval Lancelot romances, taking the dialogue scenes as its primary point of access. It develops a methodology that combines narratological and pragmatic linguist procedures. Applying this method to the German and French Lancelot romances reveals that the comparative approach is an especially fruitful form of analysis."
