Adam and Joe take Bear to play hide-and-seek in the woods. When their game is over, the boys go home, leaving poor, old Bear behind. The woodland animals - a mouse, a toad, a squirrel, a blackbird and a fox - all invite Bear to their homes. He tries themall, but none of them is right for him - small, wet, high, scratchy and scary.
