About This Book
Facsimile of a map in hieroglyphic characters; the original, 315 x 225 cm., kept in the archives of the Ministerio de Fomento, Mexico, is said to represent Zacatepec, (a village in the district of Jamiltepec, Mexico) and its surroundings. It is here reproduced, reduced to half of the original size, in 25 plates; also, the whole in one plate, reduced to 36 x 26 cm. The facsimiles of the map are preceded by a facsimile of "Plano de los terrenos de Zacatepec ... levantado por el ingeniero Jose O. Huitrado, 1892," and by the illustrated t.p.: "Codice mixteco Martinez Gracida, de Jamiltepec, estado de Oaxaca, pub. por el Dr. Antonio Penafiel. Mexico, 1898."
