French National Urban Policy and the Paris Region New Towns

This a description of one of the great success stories of French national urban policy: their new towns (Villes Nouvelles) in the Paris region. They are attractive, well planned, have a good mix of housing by income, are energy efficient, tied into the rail and subway system of the Paris region. The original book was in Color. The book was written in the late 90s based on Underhill,s trip to France and needs to be updated.
