ABC News/Washington Post pre-summit poll, December 1987

This survey was conducted prior to the Reagan-Gorbachev summit meeting that began in Washington, D.C. on December 7, 1987. Respondents were asked to rate Reagan's performance as president, with special emphasis on United States policy toward and relations with the Soviet Union. Other questions focused upon Mikhail Gorbachev, the upcoming summit, and arms control. Demographic characteristics of respondents are included.
