The author considers the different scientific approaches to the concept of “art culture” and the future teachers' art culture development (this problem is studied in historical andpedagogical aspect); an analysis of the philosophical concepts, cultural studies, pedagogical ideas associated with the peculiarities of the art culture development and its impact on the development of the individual creative potential;the factors of pedagogical potential development of art culture are described; the position and the importance of the students of pedagogical universities' world art picture development are revealed.
