About This Book

This book is set in the fictional setting of Magarbee Island Scotland and has flasbacks from 1973 to 1913 and the Great war and has as its principal characters Hamish Robson and his wife Freda. We are treated to an assortment of Island folk some banal some austere but always entertaining. The literary device used is to have Freda in 1973 telling a tourist the life story of her husband's life
But the gaps in her Knowledge are filled in by the author's voice as he takes us through the horrors of life on the Western Front and the
consequences of shellshock syndrome. There are over 300pp + in this tome which was published in Taiwan in two editions and is now available as a Google e-book in the usa.
