Shafer, swamp to village

Shafer is a small town in East Central Minnesota between Center City and Taylors Falls. This book recounts the history of this community from the 1850s. It includes a variety of remembered stories about early settlers and incoudes black and white photos of early settlers, businesses and residences. The book was printed in limited numbers and distributed locally.
