This book is an exposition of some characteristic features of the mode of moral imagination used within one of the ancestral chants, namely, Onugbo Ml'Oko, of the Idoma people of Benue State, Nigeria.
It is the aim of the author of this book to awaken the consciousness of the Christians in the Catholic Diocese of Otukpo to some elements of moral imagination within the ancestral spirit cult of Idoma land. Furthermore, he demonstrated that some of those elements could be harnessed and used to improve Christian preaching methodology. He believes this will contribute to the means of enhancing the effectiveness of Christian evangelization in the Catholic Diocese of Otukpo in general, but particularly among the I doma people.
