Photographs of cases in medicine and surgery

Album includes 70 carte-de-visite photographs of pathological specimens and casts in museum at Albany Medical College, N.Y., by Wood & Brother, with photographs of Ira Harris General Hospital. Several of the photographs may have been taken by or associated with James H. Armsby. Also includes 16 carte-de-visite photographs of Civil War soldier amputation cases from Sloan U.S. Army General Hospital, Montpelier, Vt. Many of the amputation cases have extensive notes on verso, some by Surgeon Henry Janes.
