About This Book

Analyzes under-reported and little studied accounts of early visit to Mexico's gulf coast by Spanish explorer, Hernandez de Cordoba. His accounts inspired future visits by Grijalva and Cortes. This text, which was based on account given by Bernal Diaz del Castillo (who participated in preparing expedition) and other sources, narrates and examines events that brought three ships headed by Spanish explorer Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba (1475-1517) to coasts of Yucatan, their subsequent explorations and their tragic end at hands of Mayans in Champoton. Edition limited to 250 copies.
