Code-switching in a Multilingual Environment

This book explains how code-switching between Malay and English functions in the domain of education, especially in the classroom teaching-learning discourse. At the same time this book also highlights the importance of the existence of code-switching in educational discourse, even though in theory discourse should be monolingual that is in English. Code-switching occurs between the two languages whether from English to Malay or vice versa. This book stimulates our mind to think further ahead, such as about language use patterns of the future younger generation.
