An authorized biography of a distinguished physician, scientist and humanist born in Puerto Rico in the first third of the XX century and who was able to study and practice medicine in the United States in the sixties and seventies. In the second half of the XX century he became a world known scientist for his discovery of a new treatment for a serious lung disease. Most critics consider the book a biographical novel that incorporates important elements from the fields of history, bioethics, mass media, among others. This work is intended for young people who are considering studying medicine.
