About This Book
History of the Tibetan Buddhist monastery Gser-ri Dgaʼ-ldan Chos-ʼphel-gling [a.k.a. Ser-dris Monastery?], located in Jinyuan Township, Bayan County (Ch. Hualong Huizu Zizhixian) in Huangnan Prefecture, Qinghai Province (traditionally known as A-mdo or Amdo); includes biographical information on related lamas including the author - the monastery is a seat for three reincarnation lineages -- as well as historical background on the fourteen related "lha sde tsho ba" (p. 226-258). The monastery was founded by the Nyingma School in the 13th century, and converted to the Gelukpa School in the 17th century.
