Alloha, na ŭi ŏmmadŭl

[Aloha, My Mothers] creates an affecting human drama through the life of three women who were married to the first Korean generation of US immigrants to Hawaii during the Japanese Colonial Period. The story is set in early 1917 and the three women, Beodeul, Hong Ju, Song Hwa risk their destiny to only a single photo and boarded a ship from Joseon (previous name of Korea) to Hawaii, the new world... Author Lee beautifully illustrates the condensed image of the pioneers of fate and of the times.
