The influencing engine

A historical, literary novel with fantastic overtones. The story concerns the events leading up to the assasination of the then Prime Minister, Spencer Perceval. The principal plot revolves around Perceval's murderer, John Bellingham. This portion of the story is re-imagined using contemporary sources (letters, pamphlets, court documents). The, largely fictitious, sub-plot involves a murky conspiracy to undermine the growing revolutionary movement and is interwoven and interlinked with the main plot. The novel's style is fluid and fast-paced a partially successful attempt to marry genre and literary writing.
