"Kurdgalan is organized annually by the Kurdistan Regional Government's Nordic Representation. Kurdgalan was held for the first time in January 2006 to celebrate Kurdish Swedish talents. The Kurdgalan has become an ever-increasing event throughout the years where prominent guests in all the spheres of society are invidet to see the awards of the Kurds of the Year, the Kurdish of the year. This 2009 year's "Kurdish Honor Award" is awarded."
